Martha McKay is a huge, manly woman desperate to drive a firetruck in the East, tee-total side of Paris, Texas. She falls for Bernie McClintock, an effeminate man – “Oh, I couldn’t eat a whole steak!” – from the West, drunken side of Paris, Texas.
