Mr Faversham has just bought Swindon Zoo. Haunted by memeories of his service in the Great War, he hatches a secret plan to hunt down and kill all of the animals. And yet he’s developed feelings for zookeeper Betty, also the object of desire for his right hand man, Tarquin.
