New York City in 1980, Jerry and Mr Barnavelt run a pole dancing studio which is ridding the 26th state of Brooklyn of crime. The police are so impressed they offer Jerry a medal, but he won’t accept it because of his past in the police force, his failed relationship with Martha the force statistician, and his failure in the face of fire. But as the pole dancing studio is threatened, he gets a chance to prove himself, and become more than just a statistic.
